Arriva plc honoured by royal society for the prevention of accidents

Arriva plc has been awarded an occupational health and safety award from leading safety champions the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The merit award, which will be presented at a prestigious ceremony in May, recognises the Group's commitment to managing health and safety processes throughout its businesses.

The RoSPA award also recognises the achievement of a reduction in the number of accidents and cases of ill health in the workplace, and concentrates on assessing the evidence companies can produce to support their use of innovative and effective health and safety management systems.

Sean Forster, Arriva's Group safety and environment manager, commented:

I am delighted that the Group has received recognition for the commitment and effort put in by all employees to ensure that health and safety concerns are fully integrated into core business activities.
Safety is central to everything we do at Arriva and so we are delighted to have all our hard work recognised by this award.
