Arriva supports Brake road safety campaign – every week of the year

Arriva's places safety at the heart of everything it does and isdelighted to be supporting Brake in its efforts to reduce fatalaccidents.

Lynne Beale, Arriva's Group risk manager, said:

As well as working hard throughout our businesses withdrivers and engineers to make sure that safety is at the centre ofeverything we do, we also recognise our responsibility to pass onsafety messages to the communities we serve.
Our bus businesses work with schools, local authoritiesand parents to try and help children learn the vital lessons theyneed to travel safely, and to play safely.

Statistically, public transport is much safer than the privatecar – and there are environmental and health benefits fromchoosing the bus too.

Ms Beale added:

It's vitally important that we all do our bit to reduceaccidents and deaths on the road. At Arriva we continue to developour schools liaison work, and to work in partnership withorganisations such as Brake that are devoted to promotingsafety.
