New Bangor to Aberystwyth service runs 5 times a day
Arriva North West and Wales is celebrating the official launchof its brand new, five times a day TrawsCambria service thisweek.
The TrawsCambria X32 will bring improved service to regularcustomers and is also expected to help boost tourism.
The X32 now runs from Bangor to Aberystwyth five times a day,stopping at some of the major tourist attractions in the region,whilst also serving commuters, shoppers, students and seniorcitizens.
Replacing part of the once a day 701 service, the TrawsCambriaX32 calls at a number of tourist destinations including Caernarfon,Porthmadog and Dolgellau. New low fares mean that the maximum adultsingle fare will be just £5, the same price as an Arriva DayTicket. Senior citizens and customers with disabilities will bepleased to learn that Cerdyn Cymru passes are now also valid.
Betty Williams, MP for Conwy, is delighted with the new service.She commented:
I am pleased to welcome this excellent addition to theTrawsCambria route. In fact, I have already received favourablecomments from some of my constituents who have travelled on theservice. I hope that more people will now be able to use it to seesome of the wonderful sites of North Wales.
