Sue brings sunshine to bus customers
A friendly local bus driver has brought so much sunshine to hercustomers on Arriva services that the company has been deluged withletters full of praise.
Rhyl-based Arriva bus driver, Sue Hughes, has received a numberof compliments from customers delighted by the journeys they haveexperienced on Sue's bus.
In particular, a number of pensioners who have only startedusing the bus since free travel was introduced for OAPs by theWelsh Assembly, have commented on how enjoyable their firstexperiences of bus travel were – thanks to Sue.
Bernadette Williams from Holywell described Sue as:
So pleasant that I was home before I knewit,
and Margaret Toft commented that:
Sue is always so pleasant and a pleasure to travelwith.
Mrs T Evans even goes one step further asking for Sue to be
nominated as bus driver of the year after she got offthe bus and moved some wheelie bins so some elderly passengerscould get off safely.
Tom Balshaw, operations director for Arriva North West and Wales's Wales operations said:
I am delighted that Sue's professionalism and courtesyhave been recognised. Many of our bus drivers also receive praiseand it is encouraging that customers take the time to tell us whenthey have had an excellent journey.
