80 apprentices to start an early career adventure with Arriva

Leading European transport group Arriva is seeking to appoint 80 new apprentices this year across its UK and mainland Europe operations as it continues to grow and expand.

Arriva apprentices can choose to develop expertise and build a career in a variety of specialisms, from mechanical and electrical engineering through to customer service and management.

How apprentices develop and the exact training they will receive, depends on which part of Arriva they join.

To help people make those choices, Arriva has launched a new one-stop website, arrivaearlycareers.com

At a glance, prospective apprentices can view available programmes, watch profile videos of Arriva’s current apprentices who have worked through the programme and find out about what opportunities are available to them.

Charlie Reeve, head of early career programmes said: “Arriva has a long, proud, history of running successful apprenticeship schemes.  We knew we needed to make it easier for people to find out what we offer and where their early career adventure could start; that’s why we’ve launched our digital campaign around making and sharing adventures. 

“Instead of hunting through careers sections on all our different websites, people are just one click away from the start of their adventure with one of the largest passenger transport companies in Europe.”

Arriva employs 54,500 people across 14 European countries, delivering 2.2 billion passenger journeys every year.
