Arriva blog: UK Bus MD on the Government's bus support package announced today

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Arriva team for what they are doing to keep their local communities moving during these difficult times. They are going above and beyond and we have been inundated with messages of support and thanks from customers for the job that our staff have been delivering. I’ve told our staff just how proud they should all be for the significant contribution that they are making.

I’d also like to say a big thank you to all those NHS and other key workers that are keeping the country on its feet.  

We’ve had to work through problems and issues that we’ve never had to face before. But with everyone’s continued patience and support, I believe that we are making some great progress. We are doing our best to amend services where key workers tell us they are not working for them and we have also lifted the restrictions on when concessionary bus pass holders can travel. Without our customers we cannot operate; please keep giving us your feedback.

Arriva is working flat-out, in innovative new ways, to keep our staff and our customers safe and to provide a service that makes a difference for our communities. The support of our staff, our customers and our local communities is very much appreciated and we look forward to getting back to providing our full network to our customers as soon as possible.
