Arriva launches website to support Malta services

Arriva has launched the first phase of its website in Maltafollowing the announcement that it has won the contract toprovide bus services for Malta and Gozo from July 2011.

To begin with the website concentrates on recruitmentinformation and the background to the Arriva Malta consortium. Overthe next six months route and timetable information, ticket andfare details, and a feedback section will all be added.

The website, www.arriva.com.mt, will be the source for allinformation on Arriva Malta and the bus services Arriva will beoperating in Malta and Gozo.

Arriva Malta project director Keith Bastow said: "Customer careand communication is a key part of Arriva’s plans for Malta.We are committed to engaging with the Maltese public and providingas much information as possible over the coming months to make thetransition to the new services as easy and as smooth aspossible."

He added: "We will be recruiting in the region of 920 employees,with a wide range of excellent positions available includingdrivers, support, engineering, management, head office andadministration roles. We would love to hear from people who perhapshaven’t considered a career in transport before as well asfrom the many experienced drivers in Malta. Full training anddevelopment support will be provided, and if you’re good,you’re welcome!"
