Arriva names new managing director for Arriva Yorkshire

Leading UK bus operator Arriva today announced the appointmentof Nigel Featham as managing director of its Wakefield-based ArrivaYorkshire business.

Nigel joins the group from Warrington Borough Transport where hehas successfully led the business as managing director for almostnine years.  Prior to that Nigel was operations director atPreston Bus Ltd, and has a depth of knowledge and experience of thetransport industry.

Mike Cooper, managing director – Arriva UK Regions, said:“I’m confident that in his new role Nigel will providestrong strategic leadership for Arriva’s business inYorkshire, combined with a well balanced hands-onapproach.

“I would also like to formally thank the senior team atArriva Yorkshire who have successfully managed the business in theabsence of a managing director over the last six months.”

Nigel takes up his new role at Arriva Yorkshire on 19 May.
