Arriva’s Stockton depot lent a helping paw when it allowedthe Guide Dogs for the Blind Association familiarise a puppy withthe layout of a bus before she goes out on the road and learns howto guide a person with a visual disability on to and off thebus.

Marjorie Springett, who brought puppy Zandra to the depot, said:

Your inspector, Peter Bailey, could not have been morehelpful and I was thrilled to see how Zandra coped with the newexperience of a bus… watching how the pup managed the steps, the seats and the new environment, I was encouraged.

At Arriva we always try to reflect and support thecommunities we serve and we have a long standing association withthe RNIB so when Mrs Springett asked if she could bring the puppyalong, we were very pleased to help.
