Arriva’s Dewsbury depot celebrates

Arriva Yorkshire's Dewsbury bus depot is celebrating after beingawarded Investors In People status (IIP). The award, which isdesigned to improve a company's performance through its employees,represents a huge achievement for everyone involved.

With 200 employees and 64 buses, staff at the Dewsbury depothave been able to make great improvements by enrolling forInvestors In People accreditation and meeting key objectives. As aresult Investors In People recognised “that there wasgreat commitment from all departments to ensure that the servicethey provide is continually improved”.

David Squire, Dewsbury depot's general manager, said:

We recognised the Investors In People process as aroute to continually improve services at the Dewsbury depot and tenmonths on we're delighted with the results.

Amongst many other initiatives the process hasestablished a highly effective road safety group to monitor andimprove safety standards. This is a great achievement for ourDewsbury team and they can be proud of their efforts.
