Arriva welcomes funding support package for the UK bus sector: UK Bus, North East

Arriva responds to the announcement [03 April 2020] by the UK Government on a funding support package for the bus sector.

Paul O’Neil, Managing Director for UK Bus, said:

“We are delighted that the Government has recognised the significant contribution being made by the bus sector in helping to tackle the virus, by enabling key workers to get to where they need to go.

“The Secretary of State’s announcement of support for operators means that we can continue to deliver this vital service up and down the country. It also means that we will be ready to gear up to a full network as quickly as possible when appropriate.

“I’m pleased that we can continue to play our part in these unprecedented times. I am extremely proud of our employees who are going above and beyond the call of duty to keep the country moving.”
