Arriva wins EasyBus contract

Arriva plc has agreed contracts to operate EasyBus services fromLuton Airport to London.

Arriva will take over the current operations on the LutonAirport to London route, and, in line with EasyBus' strategy, willgrow the service level by April 2006. Service frequencies willincrease during peak times to every 20 minutes and longer operatinghours will be introduced.

In the south of England, Arriva operates over 1,400 buses from24 locations outside of London, and over 1,400 buses in thecapital.

Mike Cooper, managing director of Arriva UK Regions, said:

This is a good contract win for Arriva in a promisingmarket. We will be focusing on growing the service levels fromApril this year.
