Bus operator Arriva derby invests in super low floor buses for Oakwood routes 22, 24 and 26

Arriva Derby is pleased to announce the introduction of eightnew super low floor easy access buses onto Oakwood routes 22, 24and 26. As well as being more easily accessible for wheelchairusers and parents with buggies, the buses feature CCTV cameras togive customers an added feeling of security.

Phil Booker, commercial director for Arriva Derby said:

Arriva Derby has already made a substantial investmentin new, easy access buses for services in Derby and this latestpurchase of new fleet brings the figure up to £1.2 million.It is very important to us that customers are not only able totravel safely but that they have an increased level of comfort andeven more confidence in the service they receive. Our programme ofcontinuing investments in new fleet will help us to achievethis.

The new double deck buses are due to start operating on routes22, 24 and 26 from early March 2003.
