Community efforts bring awards for Arriva employees

Community efforts bring awards for Arriva employees: Community Action Awards Logo

Arriva employees across Europe have been rewarded for making a difference in their local communities.

Arriva presented Community Action Awards to 31 employees to recognise the valuable contribution they make to their local communities through voluntary work.

The annual awards are open to all Arriva employees across Europe, particularly those who give up their spare time to work for a charity or non-profit making organisation.

Groups of employees who have undertaken a special project to help or raise funds for the community, an organisation or charity are also invited to apply for an award.

Platinum (£2,000), Gold (£1,000), Silver (£500) or Bronze (£250) awards are presented to the charities or organisations they support, and winning employees are presented with a certificate and token gift recognising their contribution.

David Martin, chief executive of Arriva, said: “Our employees work hard every day to deliver quality transport services across the communities we serve, and many go the extra mile after their working day ends to support local organisations and charitable groups. The Community Action Awards help us recognise our employees’ efforts and provide welcome financial support to their chosen community group.”
