Double celebration for Arriva and TfL!

  • Opening of Arriva's redeveloped Edmonton depot
  • Evobus delivers the latest batch of 'bendy buses'
Who:

Peter Hendy, London 's Transport commissioner will join David Martin, chief executive of Arriva plc and Mark Yexley, managing director of Arriva London to formally open Arriva's redeveloped Edmonton garage and to officially hand over the latest batch of London 's bendy buses.

In addition Wolfgang Presinger, dxecutive managing director of Mercedes Benz Buses and Coaches will hand over the 390 th Mercedes Citaro “bendy bus” to be delivered into London .

They will be joined by representatives from London Buses, Arriva London, TGWU, local politicians and partners from Evobus, the iBus project, Spencers (building contractors), and Stonehill estate local management.

What:

The garage has undergone complete refurbishment from its original state as a former timber yard. Arriva employees have worked hard throughout the redevelopment to manage to operate services for customers.

This is the 390th bendy bus to enter service in London over the past three years
