OFT grants Arriva clearance to take over Stagecoach’s Darlington operations

Following the OFT’s decision to clear Arriva’spurchase of Stagecoach’s Darlington operations, Arriva NorthEast is pleased to announce that from Sunday 26 August all ofStagecoach’s Darlington operations and its 78 staff willtransfer to Arriva North East.

The deal will also see Arriva move from its town centre depot atFeethams to the newer facilities available at the Faverdale depot,freeing up the Feethams site for potential regeneration.

“On behalf of Arriva I would like to take the opportunityto welcome Stagecoach’s Darlington staff to Arriva NorthEast.

“From 26 August all daily, weekly and monthly town areatickets will be valid on all Arriva and/or former Stagecoachservices in the town area. Arriva borough area tickets will also bevalid on former Stagecoach town services.

“We look forward to continuing our positive partnershipswith the local authority and other stakeholders in and aroundDarlington.”
